Tui 17” x 18” Photo Transfer with a Koru block. New Zealand fabrics were used. The Tui is a fairly large bird that loves feeding on the honey from flax flowers. It has a wonderful bell-like call. Jeff Mein Smith, photographer for “Uncovering Traditional Quilts” was sharing a coffee on our front porch only a few feet away from this bird. The photo was transferred onto stark white fabric.
